Results of Survey on Coaching International MS Students

By Beyond B School

Beyond B-School conducted a survey of career coaches who work with international students enrolled in MS degree programs to learn about the challenges they face.  Of the 60 schools responding, over half have four or more programs and over half said the majority of enrolled students are international.  Schools all aim to help these students prepare for a U.S.-based job search along with a backup plan to launch their post-graduation career in their home country.  Along with the challenge of securing a U.S. work visa, coaches report that these students do not typically have as much work experience as MBAs.  In addition, they do not have the “U.S. style” networking skills, communications skills and knowledge of employers beyond the blue-chip companies that all students target.  Click READ SUMMARY below to access the report and charts.
